Cinema Library, Rome
During my second year I designed a library for Italian cinema, where the golden age of Italian cinema thematically meets the new upcoming directors. Lacan was a huge philosophical source of inspiration for me as well as the restrictions of the site; squeezed in between the imperial Via Guilia with all the palazzo and the commoner’s street, Via di Mannerato. This piece of urban design deals with psychoanalytic elements such as ‘the gaze’ as it grows up over the facades.
